200 GAMES IN BLUE
George Henry Smyth plays his 200th Club Game for the Monash Blues this Saturday against Marcellin.
George debuted in 2000 and is the epitome of a Monash footballer; skilful, dedicated and supremely balanced which allows him to dominate on and off the field.
George is one of the most decorated players in the Club’s 51 year history.
His remarkable individual achievements include two League best and fairest awards (C-Grade 2005 & D1 2010), 4 Club Senior best and fairest awards (2002, 2004, 2007 & 2010), Club Captain 2007 & 2010-2012, ruck-rover in Monash’s team of the half-century and he is a Club Life Member.
However there is no doubt as to which achievement would be George’s most proud moment as a Blue; playing along-side his mates as a member of the 2003 D-Grade Premiership side.
Congratulations George and thank you from all at the club for your fantastic contribution.
