Old Geelong will face Ormond in next week’s Division 1 preliminary final after they defeated St Mary’s Salesian by 42 points at Waverly Oval. A five-goal to nil opening term set the tone for the match as Ogs never looked back at any stage throughout the semi-final. Sandon James kicked three in his side’s win, while Jordy O’Brien was named best on ground for his dominant display. Gary Puruntatameri stood tall, as he has all season, kicking three for the Saints.

Kew booked their place in this year’s grand final on the back of their 27-point victory against Ormond in the first semi-final at Sportscover Arena this afternoon. With just three points in it at the final break, the Bears flicked the switch and kicked four goals to nil in the last quarter. Jett Guerin was named best on ground for his three-goal performance, while Izzy Tahana kicked two for the Monders.
