Front runners fire in Division 3

A divide has already established itself in Division 3 with the powerhouses of the section all recording big wins.

Emmaus St Leos continued in their winning ways with a 90 point demolition of Eley Park at Bennetswood. Chris Beluszar added another eight goals in a clinical performance by the Animals. Despite the big win, they only occupy second spot in the early stages of the year, but with a percentage of over 200, the Animals are well placed after four rounds.

West Brunswick are the side everyone is chasing as the Pies again won to make it four straight in Division 3. West Brunswick had a solid 68 point win over La Trobe University to keep the Magpies on top of the heap after four. Muscat booted four goals in the win.

Swinburne University and Hawthorn played out a thrilling local derby in the closest match of the round in Division 3. In the end, it was the Razorbacks who claimed the four points on their home ground, defeating Hawthorn by nine points. Tom Kennedy kicked six goals in the win whilst Sam Gold booted four for the beaten Hawks.

The battle of the Lake saw Albert Park make the journey round the Albert Park circuit to take the four points from neighbours Power House by a comfortable 45 points. The Falcons were well server by 12 different goal kickers in the win.

Aquinas returned to the winners list in menacing style as they ran out 104 point winners over Glen Eira. Ben Nucifora slotted eight goals in the win that pushes the Bloods to third spot just behind the two undefeated sides. Glen Eira on the other hand remain the only winless side in the section, whilst UHS-VU had the bye.
