Nine goals to four in the second half helped Power House come from 16 points down and deliver a knockout blow via an 18-point victory over UHS-VU. The Vultures were the better team in first two quarters and took the 16-point lead in to the main break with 14 scoring shots to the House’s eight. However, the House came out firing with a third consecutive five-goal haul from Nicholas Nagel helping them over the line. James Walsh and Brian Kyne were relentless and a big part of the House’s comeback, while Mitchell Sweeney booted three for the Vultures. The loss was the Vultures’ second from the last two games after winning eight in a row. The House has now won seven on the trot and found form at the right time of the season.

Despite falling to a 23-point deficit at the first break, La Trobe University bounced back to claim a preliminary finals spot with a thrilling three-point win over South Melbourne Districts at Westbourne School Ground. The Trobers trailed at the 25th-minute mark before Bryce Dowler sent through the winning goal with just moments left in the match. Edward McKenzie top-scored with three goals, while Declan Ryan & Elliot Kelly starred for the Trobers. It was a gutsy effort from the Swans as Blake Parkinson kicked two as their best and Jackson Consiglio fought valiantly.
