If you follow amateur footy or have been listening to SEN you will know that this Sunday at Sportscover Arena the first two of 25 VAFA Grand Finals will be contested.
Club XVIII sides Old Xaverians and Old Melburnians will contest the Section 1 flag whilst Hawthorn have had a week’s rest waiting for Old Geelong to contest the Section 2 premiership.
Premiership success is treasured no matter what level it is achieved at and in many cases the Club XVIII contests are the most ferocious as for many players it is a last chance to drink from the premiership cup.
The Club XVIII Section 2 Grand Final will start the the day at 11.45am with the Section 1 Grand Final to follow at 2.15.
Old Xaverians are looking to go through the season undefeated and are competing in their 21st straight Club XVIII Grand Final.
Hawthorn will be hoping to secure a premiership in what has been a tough year for the club.
Tickets are available at the gates of Sportscover Arena, Glenhuntly Road, Elsternwick and are $12 for adults and $6 for concessions, with children under 12 free!
It is also the last round for Division clubs and the penultimate round for our Premier clubs so get out to the local footy this weekend to support your mates before finals start.
