In Division 1, Old Mentonians kept their finals chances alive with a 23 point win over MHSOB. Brown kicked five in the win that levels the Panthers’ season at 6-6. 
Whitefriars produced the upset of the round, defeating finals aspirant Prahran Assumption by 26 points in Donvale. 
Old Geelong reminded everyone that their best is as good as most with an 81 point demolition of Yarra Valley in Doncaster. Stewart booted six goals and Wood kicked five as the OGs kicked 25 goals for the day. 
Therry Penola keep on keeping on, this time defeating Bulleen Templestowe by 77 pooints to remain undefeated. Their goals came from – guess who? Jarrod Bannister booted seven, whilst Corey only managed three this week. 
Williamstown CYMS stole second spot from NOB/St Pat’s after the CY’s defeated NOBs by 27 points. Molan booted five goals for the visitors in their stirring win. 

In Division 2, Glen Eira had everyone in the VAFA smiling. The club secured their first senior win in 708 days when they beat Elsternwick  by 18 points at Elsternwick Park Oval 2. We will say that again, Glen Eira Saints won for the first time since 2012. Well done.
Old Eltham pipped Monash Gryphons by 10 points to maintain the pressure on St Mary’s Salesian in second. 
In the match of the day, St Mary’s Salesian (2nd) hosted top of the table Kew and for the second time this year Kew came from behind to win by 10 points. St Mary’s got off to the best possible start, holding Kew goalless and kicking four themselves. However, Kew worked their way back into the game, and despite trailing by seven points at three quarter time the Bears found a way to win. 
Soutb Melbourne Districts caused an upsets of sorts, defeating Old Paradians by 12 points. Districts led all day in securing a win that gives them breathing space from the bottom rungs. 
St Johns won an important game against Ivanhoe that might just revitalize their season. The Jocs were home by 36 points against the Hoes as both Scott and Brannan booted four majors each. 

In Division 3, the shock result was the one point triumph of Albert Park over Northern Blues. The Falcons come from behind win has seen them level their season at 6-6. There are now five teams with a 50% record this year making it one of the most interesting of the seven senior sections. 
 Aquinas returned to the winners list with a 35 point win over Eley Park. The Bloods are now two games clear in third. 
La Trobe University defeated South Mornington by 141 points as McMeel kicked nine goals in the win. 
Emmaus St Leos absolutely slaughtered UHS-VU by 135 points. The result was a dual celebration, as Beluszar kicked 12 goals and the Animals went to the top of the Division 3 ladder. Oh and Baranello also booted six goals in the win. 
Richmond Central surprised St Francis Xavier with a determined performance to win by 45 points whilst Swinburne Uni handed Power House a 24 point loss. 

In Division 4, Hawthorn stayed undefeated after their trip to Point Cook. The Hawks home by 71 points at Saltwater Reserve. 
North Brunswick scored their second win of the year with a big 67 point win over the visiting Dragons. Gallagher booted six goals in the Bulls win. 
Westbourne Grammarians kept their finals hopes alive with a 28 point win over Box Hill North. Johns and Davis booted four goals each in the win. 
Although Manninham Cobras kept their distance from the chasing pack, courtesy of a 70 point win over Chadstone. The Cobras’ win has them two games clear in the four. 
West Brunswick virtually stitched up the double chance with a telling 19 point away win at Canterbury. Four goals from Muscat means the Pies are now two goals clear of Canterbury in second.
