Fitzroy maintained their unbeaten run while ending Old Geelong’s via a commanding 89-point victory over the Ogs at Brunswick St Oval. The Roys burst out of the blocks with three goals from skipper, Julian Turner, helping them to a 41-point lead at the first break. They continued to apply the pressure and ended the match with nine goals to five in the final term. Turner finished with five majors while Sam Baker, Ted Clayton and Noah Wright bagged three each. Clayton was named best afield alongside a standout display from Max Ellis. Matt Bird doubled his season tally with four goals for the Ogs who now fall to fourth spot on the ladder.

Peninsula recorded their first win for season 2018 as they defeated PEGS by 64 points at PEGS Sporting Fields. Leading by 11 points at the first break, the Pirates assumed control with six unanswered goals in the second term and another half dozen in the fourth. Will Crowder was on fire in front of goals with five for the Pirates and both George and James Fletcher found plenty of the ball. Max Philpot and Jackson Young flew the flag as the best Bombers but they now sit seventh on the ladder, two spots below the Pirates.

A sensational second-half performance allowed Williamstown CYMS to remain undefeated three rounds into the season as they ran over Old Mentonians by 59 points at Fearon Reserve. Inaccuracy in front of goal (4.12 – 6.6) meant the CYs entered the main break six points down but they put the foot down with 12 goals to two in the second half. Nick Ebinger had a day out with seven goals for the CYs while Nick Blackney and Thomas Johnstone impressed. Lachlan Boyd kicked three goals for the Panthers as their sole multiple goal scorer and Sam D’Andrea fought hard all day. The CYs remain on top of the Premier C ladder but the Panthers are ninth with one win for the year.

Three weeks in and Old Camberwell is the off the mark with a dominant 51-point victory over Old Ivanhoe. The Wellers entered the match as underdogs but proceeded to nail 16 goals to seven; including, 10 to four in the second half. Tom Kanz was at his best with six goals for the Wellers and Alex Taverner wasn’t far behind with four, while Simon Bennett continued his outstanding start to the year with a BOG display. Adrian Del Monte top-scored with three goals for the Hoers who have now lost two in a row after a fantastic opening round win over the Pirates on the Peninsula. They now sit sixth while the Wellers climb to eighth on the ladder.

34 scoring shots to 16 allowed Marcellin to cruise to their second win of the year, defeating St Mary’s Salesian by 83 points at Marcellin College. The Eagles opened with six goals to one and built upon their lead at every break throughout the match. Max Di Ciccio starred in a BOG performance, while Daniel McMahon bagged five goals. Louis Holmes and Manny Dolan each kicked three for the Saints but they currently sit 10th on the ladder as they only team in Premier C without a win. The Eagles Moved to third spot with two wins and a healthy percentage of 142.7%.
