St Bernard’s returned to form after last week’s loss to old Carey, cruising past Parkdale Vultures by 105 points at the Snake Pit. Seven goals to two in the opening term paved the way for the Snow Dogs onslaught and they continued their dominance throughout the match with 41 scoring shots to 11. Michael Caven led a host of multiple goal scorers with four, while Jack McNamara, Chad Jones, Jordan Farrell and Chris Hughes each bagged three. Jake Maher booted two and was named best afield. Jai Hale and Andrew Watterson fought bravely for the Vultures but they were unable to record their first win of the year and sit ninth with a percentage of 37.20%. The Snow Dogs are fourth but with the third-highest points for (339) of all sides.

Beaumaris’ unbeaten run continued as they defeated Mazenod by 69 points at Central Reserve. Leading by 33 points at half time, the Sharks accelerated in the third with seven goals to three before outscoring the Nodders yet again in the fourth. Joel Cusack kicked three goals and was BOG for the Sharks alongside a three-goal haul from Will Edmonds and Max Williams. Liam Welsford bagged a trio of majors himself for the Nodders, but they were unable to replicate last week’s outstanding form against the Jackas and sit seventh on the ladder with one win for the season. The Sharks are third but one of three undefeated sides in Premier B.

Old Carey’s venture to the top of the Premier B ladder remained intact after they ran over Monash Blues to the tune of 119 points at Frearson Oval. The Panthers shot out to a 31-point lead early and continued to build upon that margin as the match progressed. Kristian Jaksch bagged seven goals in a BOG display, taking his season tally to 13 from three games. Cameron Jones and Sam Cust each chipped in with three while Danyon Reinbold was outstanding. Brayden Price and Cameron Pither fought hard for the Blues but they find themselves languishing in 10th spot on the ladder with a percentage of 27.59% and an average score off 36.3%.

Caulfield Grammarians made it two wins on the trot as they defeated Old Haileybury in the Premier C Grand Final replay at Glenhuntly Oval. Both side struggled to find the scoreboard early with just one goal apiece at quarter time, but the Fields exploded with six unanswered in the second term. The final margin of 39 points could have been significantly higher if not for inaccuracy, with the Fields booting 8.23. Declan Reilly hit the scoreboard for the first time in 2018 and top-scored with three for the Fields while Corey Connelly mirrored that performance with three of his own for the Bloods. The Fields are now fifth on the ladder with two wins and the Bloods sit eighth, yet to record a victory this year.

Seven goals from Lachlan Huntington and five from Lochy Dornauf helped University Blacks to a comprehensive 97-point victory over Ajax at Princes Park, Caulfield. Just 12 points separated the two sides at half time, but the Blacks piled on nine goals to two in their strongest quarter of football in 2018. Another six unanswered in the fourth solidified the blowout victory as young gun Campbell Moorfield was named best afield. Richie Simon and Nick Lewis were impressive for the Jackas who slump to their second straight loss and sixth place on the ladder.
