Collegians continued their outstanding post-season form with the announcement they’ve secured the services of former Richmond and Geelong player, Taylor Hunt, for the 2018 season.
After falling just three points shy of their first William Buck Premier flag since they went back-to-back in 2011-12, the Lions have increased their midfield stocks with the 105-game AFL player as he looks to bolster an engine room already boasting Viv Michie, Sam Hibbins, Kenny Ong and Courtney Hylton.
Taking to Instagram to announce the news, the Lions said Hunt’s experience at the top level will “bring a lot of leadership and knowledge to the team”.
“Taylor is a running half back/wingman and we see him being a huge addition to our team for 2018.”
Hunt was drafted at pick 49 in the 2008 AFL draft and played 63 games over five years with the Cats and followed it up with a further 42 at Richmond.
The news of Hunt’s arrival follows the announcement of Big V skipper, George Burbury, joining the Lions’ Den for next year.
