Ormond put last week’s semi-final loss to Kew behind them, defeating Old Geelong by 14 points at Waverley Oval and earning a spot in both next week’s grand final and Premier C in 2016. Trailing by 11 points at the main break, the Monders clicked into gear in the second half and kicked seven of the last nine goals of the match. Matthew Oaten starred in a best-on-ground performance for the Monders, while Dimitri Fasoulis found the middle of the big sticks on three separate occasions to top score for the winning side. Jack McMeel did his utmost to maintain the Ogs’ early lead as he piled on four goals in the loss. The Monders will now ready themselves for yet another battle with rivals Kew in next week’s Division 1 grand final, while Ogs will regroup after a great season and establish measures to go one step further in 2016.
