VAFA Podcast – Straight Six for Charlie as the Big V prevail in an all-time classic

Posted on - Latest News, Featured, Podcasts

With VAFA podcast regular Josh Heriot jet-setting overseas, For the Love of the Game has a new look for one more week.

Joe Pignataro is still in town, and this week two of the big-boppers of the VAFA are in the house.

After hearing from rusted on fans, going into the coaches corner, deep-diving into the Big V program, it’s time to hear from the Presidents of the VAFA’s two biggest clubs.

Joining Joey this week is Matt Cosgrave (Old Xaverians), the one who oversees the red and black mafia and Paddy Mount (St Kevin’s), the reigning premiership president.

On the agenda:

  • Wrapping up the most amazing performance from the Big V
  • Leading a club out of the COVID year and stabilising in 2023
  • The importance of using the school or junior program to cultivate the next generation of talent
  • The #1 seed in William Buck Premier
  • Bringing the Presidents together

Charlie MacIsaac is our special guest after his 6-goal haul in a best on ground performance for the Big V on Saturday.

Russell Barnes (St Bede’s Mentone/Tigers) also joins Joey ahead of the clubs annual Jane’s Match, raising money for Maddie’s Vision. This weekend, the Tigers face off against Old Trinity.
