Round 4 confirmed some of our thinking but raised some more questions about the pecking order in some sections. Headlining the day was the big performance of Nick Sautner, who booted eleven goals for Collegians, including six in the final term as the reigning premier belted St Bede’s/Mentone Tigers at Brindisi Street. Elsewhere in Premier, Sam Pickett booted five as De La Salle shrugged off the Uni Blues challenge, Lachie Hill slotted five as Old Scotch withstood a determined St Bernard’s and Andrew Ramsden kicked seven as the Ts beat Caulfield on Daley, leaving the Fieldsmen lonely and winless. Old Xavs meet Old Carey at Sportscover tomorrow at 1:20. Entry is free.
SKINNY: Colls unbeaten, Caulfield winless.
In Premier B, Kevs put Old Brighton to the sword, while Nick Butler kicked six and Adrian Delmonte five as Old Ivanhoe won its first against Oakleigh. Beaumaris stayed perfect by beat Old Melburnians , while Uni Blacks emerged the victor in a close game with Old Haileybury. A stronger second half saw AJAX beat Werribee Districts by eight points.
SKINNY: Beauy, Kevs and Blacks still perfect.  Oakleigh and Tonners on zero.
Premier C action saw Fitzroy win comfortably at Banyule, Mazenod win a squeaker against PEGS to grab their first four points, Marcellin trounce Parkdale Vultures and Mitch Wilson kick five as Rupertswood came from behind to beat Monash Blues. Jackson Eade shot nine as Old Camberwell clobbered Hampton Rovers.
SKINNY: Hampton Rovers struggling despite return to Boss James.
Division One saw another win to Old Mentonians, with Gareth Snow kicking five against Glen Eira. Peninsula walloped MHSOB, the Friars were convincing over OG, and St John’s won their first in an upset over Ormond. Todd Patterson kicked five as NOBSPC left Willy floundering.
SKINNY: Pirates still perfect. Willy still winless.
Bulleen Temp ran away from Eltham in the final term to win comfortably in their big Div 2 clash. Emmaus St Leo’s drubbed La Trobe, wining by 84 points. SMD led Paradians by nearly six goals at the half, but went down by a goal. Monash Gryphons were too good for St Mary’s Salesian, while Prahran Assumption trumped Therry Penola.
SKINNY: Bulleen Temp alone on top, four share bottom rung with one win.
Rhys Kirk hammered five as UHS-VU clipped Albert Park in Div 3. Ivanhoe came from behind to beat a much improved Hawthorn, while Kew beat Power House but posted no goal kickers or best players. Yarra Valley won a shootout with Elsternwick, Simon Yeo sliding through nine goals. St Francis Xavier beat the Stationmasters in a rerun of last year’s Div 4 GF. Aquinas beat a disappointing Old Westbourne with details still to come to hand.
SKINNY: Bushrangers on their own, Hawks and House still to win.
Ely Park dumped Mt Lilydale in Div 4, with Sean Barry nailing five. Box Hill North won a ripper with West Brunswick by five points. Point Cook had a strong win over Swinburne University, while South Mornington had fifteen goal scorers in their destruction of Manningham Cobras, who will meet Chadstone next week. The Synners’ Saturday could not match their $10,000 week, as Pat Notaro booed six for North Brunswick, who won by 116 points.
SKINNY: South Mornington sweet, Chadstone motherless.
