Chadstone Football Club commenced in the VAFA in 1997 at Club XVIII level under the name of Syndal Tally-Ho. The club has a history dating back to 1966, originally as Syndal Baptist in the Eastern Suburban Churches competition where they had moderate premiership success. The Synners – as they are still known today – were elevated to Division 4 in 1998 and by 2001, the club was on top of the world having won both the Division 4 senior and reserve premierships. For the 2008 season, the club changed it’s name to Chadstone Football Club, but the move could be questioned as a positive one as the club has experienced one of the worst losing periods in VAFA history. It took the club four years to win their first game as Chadstone. At the end of 2016, the Synners made the move to Club XVIII (2) and played off in a losing grand final against Box Hill North.
