History of the Big V

First VAFA representative team
The Big V is one of the most well-known sporting jumpers in Australia and its heritage was born out of the Amateurs. The VAFA first wore the Big V in a game against South Australian Amateurs in 1925 and it has been worn by Victorian teams of all sports since. The VAFA has a proud history of providing opportunities for its players to play representative football and there is no higher honour in representative football than pulling on the Big V. See below for results from all the VAFA’s representative teams.
