Jack Cowell dominated for the Bullants with three goals, but they now sit in seventh position on the Division 2 ladder with just two wins from their five games.
Melbourne High School Old Boys registered their best win for the year in a three-point thriller against Preston Bullants at W.R. Ruthven Reserve. Leading by 27 points at the last break, the Unicorns allowed 4.6 to just their one straight goal in the fourth term but crept over the line thanks in large to inaccuracy in front of the Bullants’ goal. Kane Smith added three goals to his overall season tally of 16 and Steve Villani dominated in a best-on-ground performance. Olsen Clark was at the forefront of the Bullants’ revival, while Kent Beaumont kicked two.
