VAFA HQ Twitter vs Facebook: The two horse race

Posted on - Latest News, Featured

It’s been a fruitful year for all of the VAFA’s social media platforms in 2015. Growing in numbers and reaching a larger audience than ever across all mediums ensures the VAFA’s brand continues to grow throughout the digital media landscape.

It’s an exciting time for VAFA Media as we approach a number of milestones, with the 5000 (Twitter) and 4500 (Facebook) the nearest and most competitive.

Both platforms are used simultaneously to help promote all of VAFA.com.au, club and player content and inform the VAFA community about what is happening throughout our Association.

More specifically, Twitter remains the most followed social media platform for up-to-date news and content, while Facebook is the main source of said player and club content, including photos, article links and VAFA TV.

In the spirit of the Spring Racing Carnival season, we want the VAFA community to help decide the winner of the race between our Twitter and Facebook accounts.

Twitter has been weighted more heavily than its opponent and is 61 followers short of its mark, while Facebook has just 47. However, with more experience (followers), Twitter has the capacity to make ground along the home straight.

What social media platform will win on the day? Only you can decide.

  • Twitter (@VAFA_HQ) – 4939
  • Facebook (VAFA.HQ) – 4453
