VAFA seeks Football Operations Assistant

The Victorian Amateur Football Association, Australia’s largest senior community football competition, seeks a dedicated person for the role of Football Operations Assistant.

Reporting to the General Manager – Football Operations, the role is three days per week and runs from March – October.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage clash jumper database
  • Assist with VAFA representative football program
  • Compile and analyse competition data
  • Other football administration tasks as required
  • Manage umpire appointments database via Schedula
  • Manage team sheets process
  • Manage match day voting database
  • Coordinate umpire training facilities
  • Assist in preparation of tribunal hearings
  • Assist in compiling required tribunal documents
  • Edit and reformat video content for tribunal hearings
  • Work proactively and flexibly with VAFA colleagues
  • Contribute in meetings, generate ideas, constructively challenge and have fun

  • Have well-developed relationship and people skills
  • Have high organisational, planning and prioritisation skills
  • Be action-oriented
  • Have industry knowledge
