Old Xaverians bounced back from the Premier Reserve Grand Final loss in 2016 with a hard-fought victory over St Kevin’s at Trevor Barker Oval. Led by a best-on-ground performance from Nick Nunan and three Louis Denton goals, Xavs came from 11 points down at the first break with eight of the last 12 majors. They owned the second quarter with four goals to one and maintained the ascendancy despite SKOB coming with five points at the last break. Luke Barry was also outstanding for Xavs while Harris Lagastes and James Stewart were standouts for SKOB. It is the 14th Reserves flag for Xavs to go alongside their 20 senior premierships.
