Club Career – University Blues / Old Melburnians

  • A Section Premiership player at University Blues 1952 (Vice Captain)
  • Kicked 10 of the 20 goals Blues kicked in the Grand Final win over Ormond
  • Uni Blues Captain /Coach 1953 (Runners Up)
  • Won A Section Goal kicking five years in succession, every year he played, the only player to ever do that.
    • 1950 -75 goals at University Blues
    • 1951 -128 goals at University Blues
    • 1952 -72 goals at University Blues
    • 1953 – 115 goals at University Blues
    • 1954 – 75 goals (left to move to UK in August)
  • In Dec 1954 played alongside BobHawke (Rhodes Scholar for WA) for Oxford and was BOG in annual Oxford v Cambridge Australian Rules game
  • 80 Games for University Blues and 16 games for Old Melburnians
  • Named as full forward in the MUFC team of the modern era
