Beaumaris Football Club would like to pass on the the sad news that the Beauy Football Club’s only Female Life Member and designated “Legend”, Mrs Gwen McLeod, died last Thursday, 18th October.
Gwen has been in hospital since a bad fall in her home at Mentone about six weeks ago.
Since joining the club in the 1960’s with husband Alec and two sons Peter and John (Snowy) in tow, Gwennie has been a permanent fixture in her many roles on the social committee, in the canteen, as a footballing Mum and recently as a dedicated supporter and sponsor.
We have all been touched over the years by her dedication and commitment, her stoicism and humor and her passionate support of the club and she will be sadly missed by the many friends she made at Beaumaris over the years.
