Collegians celebrate back to back Premierships winning the Premier Grand Final by seven points at Sportscover Arena over a gallant Old Xaverians.
Old Xaverians turned on the magic in the third term to turn a 14 point half time deficit to 1 point advantage with a quarter to play.
It took 17 minutes of the final quarter before a decisive goal to Chris Blumfield saw Collegians kick clear.
Old Xavs snatched a goal back but were never able to regain the lead as Blumfield kicked a second to put the game out of reach with about a minute to play.
Andrew Scott won the Jock Nelson Medal for his best on the ground performance collecting the football at will through the midfield.
The final scores in this most magnificent of Grand Finals was 10.11.71 to 9.10.64.
Old Xaverians lost Michael Darvell inside the first three minutes to what appeared to be a hamstring strain whilst Collegians lost Charlie Holst later on to a badly dislocated finger.
In the Division 3 Grand Final Yarra Valley overturned a half time deficit to defeat Ivanhoe 19.18.132 to Ivanhoe 7.9.51 at the Trevor Barker Oval.
