The season gets off to a bang as the Division 3 Grand Final rematch will be on opening day where Elsternwick will host Kew at Elsternwick Park Oval 2. Old Eltham will play Monash Gryphons on day 1 with the Gryphons hoping to make better of their second chance.
Glen Eira will be seeking a first win in over a season when they host Ivanhoe on opening day. Old Paradians and St Mary’s Salesian played a couple of classics last year and fans will be hoping they deliver in Round 1 at Garvey Oval.
South Melbourne Districts will host St John’s at Lindsay Hassett Oval in Albert Park to close out the round.
Round 2 commences with Ivanhoe at home to Old Paradians in Ivanhoe Park, whilst Kew host their first Division 2 match in 13 years against South Melbourne Districts. It will be the first meeting between the Bears and Bloods since the sides met in Division 3 in 2006.
Monash Gryphons and Glen Eira will trade blows at the Gryphon’s East Caulfield Reserve whilst St John’s first home game of the year will be against fellow finals rival Old Eltham. St Mary’s Salesian will host the promoted Elsternwick to close out Round 2.
After the Easter weekend bye, Round 3 has Old Eltham at home to St Mary’s Salesian, Glen Eira hosting Old Paradians, Ivanhoe at home to Elsternwick, Kew visiting St John’s and South Melbourne Districts at home to Monash Gryphons.
