Division 1 Women’s Round 10 Review
Power House strengthened its grip on top spot, Ormond delivered the most dominant performance of the round and Marcellin escaped with a thrilling one-point victory as the Division 1 Women’s
There will be little discernable change to the playing strip or the club song, and we will continue to play from our traditional home of Koonung Reserve, one of the best playing venues in the VAFA. All history, records and awards will be retained, and the proud history and traditions of all the clubs various identities and forms will remembered within the clubrooms.
The decision to change name to Manningham has arisen out of our desire to become more closely aligned to our community. The Bulleen Cobras struggled to maintain an identity within the Manningham region, being constantly confused with the larger Bulleen-Templestowe club. The Manninham Cobras are proud to be one of few senior clubs of any form to carry the Manningham brand into the community.
The club is also keen to announce the Laurie Zarafa will continue as Senior Coach in 2009. We have also recently appointed Roy Adams to come on as reserves coach. Roy has worked closely with Laurie in the past, and has enormous experience as a player and some experience in coaching as well. we are confident that place Roy is a good fit into our coaching structure. He brings a great deal of enthusiasm to the role & the club.
