Round 8 of the Premier B Women’s season brought the heat – Old Yarra Cobras took home the chocolates for the first time this year, Port Melbourne Chargers and Old
Liam played twice this year for Old Xaverians but due to family commitments as well as commitments to his VFL affiliate Collingwood, Jurrah couldn’t continue his football in Victoria and played out the rest of the season in Alice Springs. A 193cm forward, he came to the attention of several clubs. With fantastic hands and great foot skills he is sure to create an impression at Melbourne.
Old Xaverians coach Simon Lethlean said ” Liam is an exciting prospect with an amazing leap and uncanny skill level around goals. He is tall, agile and slight of build at the moment. He is a quiet kid, but an excitement machine in the forward line and hopefully he has years ahead of him in the AFL system. All at Old Xavs wish Liam well and congratulate him on the exceptional achievement of being drafted onto a senior AFL list.”
