KEW FC has come together along with the Breast Cancer Network of Australia (BCNA), the peak national organisation representing Australians personally affected by breast cancer, to create a Breast Cancer Awareness day.
The Breast Cancer Awareness Day will be held next Saturday when Kew plays Monash Gryphons at Victoria Park, High Street, Kew.
Kew will be wearing pink jumpers and socks for the 2 matches on the day and will be holding a ladies luncheon for members of the community. There will be three guest speakers on the day, Drs Jane O’Brien and Chantel Thornton from Epworth hospital, and also a breast cancer survivor and BCNA representative Prue Holyman.
Epworth Healthcare is the major sponsor for this event.
Money raised will directly assist BCNA to continue its work ensuring Australian women diagnosed with breast cancer have the very best information, treatment and support possible.
