The General Manager of Football Operations, Jeremy Bourke, will leave the VAFA on 17 June to join the Northern Football League as its new CEO.
“Jeremy joined the VAFA in 2006 and has proven an extremely dedicated and able manager. During his time, he has been responsible for many of the advances made, including the conversion to online registration and recording of results, and the establishment of the U18 and Thirds competitions,” said VAFA CEO Michael Sholly.
“He has also restored the reputation of representative football and enthused many VAFA players about the opportunities of wearing the Big V.”
“I am sure that our clubs appreciate the mountain of work done by Jeremy in his five years at the VAFA. They will miss his professionalism, guidance and friendly approach. The Board is grateful for his input, commitment and advice throughout his tenure,” said VAFA President Bruno Conti.
“We wish Jeremy all the best in his new role. We will miss him. His successor will have big shoes to fill,” Sholly said.
