In Premier B, Scott Gower’s eight goals spurred Beauy to victory over Uni Blacks, which has hit the skids in a hurry. Veteran Andrew Merrington kicked seven in the Snow Dogs’ thumping of Marcellin. At Chelsworth Park, Old Ivanhoe had a shot to win it post-siren, but no good and Caulfield Grammarians stayed unbeaten. Marcel Bruin’s five was a feature of Old Brighton’s hammering of Hampton Rovers. Oakleigh’s revival is still on track after it disposed of Skevs with a dominant second half.
Mitch Gaunt’s five goals saw Rupertswood give Old Camberwell the heave-ho. Unbeaten AJAX survived the trip to Central Reserve on the back of David Fayman’s seven goals, topping the Nodders. Fitzroy got five from Will Pickering as they overcame Old Essendon at the Runway. Ormond beat MHSOB, while Werribee Districts savaged last year’s GF opponent Monash Blues, Brent Morrow snagging five.
Division 1 action saw front-runner Banyule best Parkdale Vultures with Hash Brown kicking five. Jimmy Coghlan kicked six as the Pirates crushed the Bullants. Oggers squeaked home by a point over Paradians in a thriller and Whitefriars tipped out NOBSPC by the same margin. Josh Vanderloo kicked eight as Willy walloped Old Mentonians.
Div 2 leader, unbeaten, Glen Eira gagged Aquinas, Stefan Krull kicking six. Therry Penola put away the Turtles, while six goals from Chris Beluszar saw the Animals shock the Trobers. St John’s dumped St Mary’s Salesian, while Sebastian Mahoney and Adam Ray had twin Michelle’s in SMD’s massive win over Old Wetstbourne.
In Div 3, the Bankers surprised UHS-VU, on the back of Dylan Muscat’s six-pack. Jimmy Collins kicked six as Ivanhoe was untroubled by Hawthorn, while Eilan Healy and Ash Close booted five apiece. Peter Cristoforo slotted ten as leader Praharan Assumption was too good for West Brunswick. Monash Gryphons proved too strong for the Cider Men, with Dan Willis notching seven. Power House had a much neede win over Kew and the Wickers were no match for the Bushrangers.
Aaron Marsh was at it again with eight and Mark Pozzuto booted five as the Cookies edged South Mornington in a battle of the offenses. Dan Pabst slotted five as SFX stayed perfect in edging the Cobras.The Razorbacks beat BHN with Chris Kilmartin kicking five for the victors and Dan Penny the same for the vanquished. Richmond Central won comfortably over EP Sharks, while Josh Di Marco slotted six in North Brunswick’s demolition of Chadstone.
