Division One action saw Parkdale pump Bulleen Temp, Brett Hampton kicking five in a BOG effort. Peninsula stayed hot, beating NOBSPC, while James Wong kicked nine as Willy thumped Old Paradians. Banyule got five from Adam Barclay in their win over Old Mentonians, while Whitefriars poleaxed Old Geelong.
In Division 2, Sab Ciavola’s six saw Eltham upset St John’s. Matt Costello got six for Therry, but they collapsed and went down to La Trobe, for whom Stuey Patten slotted seven . SMD nutted Emmaus St Leo’s in a shock result, and Old Westbourne won their first, with Troy Whiting kicking seven to beat SMS. Glen Eira defeated Aquinas.
Div 3 leaders Prahran Assumption had a tussle with Yarra Valley before winning narrowly. Red hot Elsternwick wiped UHSVU, the Gryphs beat Mt Lilydale, Dylan Muscat and Andrew Brazzale kicked five each, but it was Albert Park who clipped Kew. Ivanhoe got five from Ben Plowman in their defeat of Hawthorn, who had six from Dan Lauletta. Paul Edwards slammed eleven as Power House torched West Brunswick.
Division 4 saw North Brunswick beat Chaddy. Aaron Marsh kicked five as Point Cook were ripped by South Mornington, with Matt Blackmore kicking eight and Ben Spencer seven. The Cobras walloped BHN, with twin sevens coming from Scott McPherson and Ryan Daley. Eley Park bested Richmond Central, but the big story of the day was SFX’s loss to the Razorbacks. Chris Kilmartin kicked seven for Swinburne.
