The VAFA congratulates Lucy Murphy from Old Scotch Football Club who has been nominated as the Round 11 Anytime Fitness Women’s Rising Star. Lucy joined OSFC this season from Richmond
VAFA pair Jack Hellier (St Bede’s/Mentone Tigers) and Matthew Boland (Parkdale Vultures), both on permit to Collingwood, have been chosen in the VFL Representative squad for the clash with Tasmania on 26 May.
Hellier and Boland were picked up by the Pies through the VAFA’s Elite Pathway Program which also saw Hellier’s Brindisi Street teammate and 2011 Club Warehouse Rising Star Damiel Garside chosen by Bendigo.
Former Old Haileybury star Shane Valenti was also picked in the squad.
