UNDER 19 BIG V SQUAD ANNOUNCED
The VAFA would like to congratulate the following players for being nominated for the Big V under 19 squad to take on the VCFL at 1pm on July 15th at Sportscover Arena.
Adam Caplan Ajax, Jack Langford Banyule, Lachlan Boyd, Scott Braithwaite, Thomas Buckley Beaumaris, Jack Cowell Bulleen/Temp, Louis O’Keefe, Declan Reilly Caulfield, Lindsay Apted, Alex Croft, Lachlan Ferguson Collegians, Hugh Nicholsen De La Salle, Josh  Cowan Mazenod, Austin Deneys, Steven Scott Oakleigh, Ben Jarick Old Brighton, Simon Harris Old Carey, Josh Alkemade, Brede Seccull Old Haileybury, Nicholas Daish Old Melbournians, Gene van den Broek, Chris Watts Old Scotch, Gabriel Hamilton Old Trinity, Ben Howell Old Trinity, Louis Denton, Charlie Woodley Old Xavs, Jordan Williams PEGS, Jordan Pomeroy Peninsula OB, Mitchell Wilson Rupertswood, Tom Garside , Dan Garside, Shaun Glennen, Hayden Jeans St.Bede’s/Mentone Tigers, Simon Caven, Jack Gay, Rhys Moylan St Bernards, Emmanuel Jakwot St.Johns, Zac Ginies, Henry Parkes, Josh Taylor St Kevins,  Jandre Slabbert Uni Blacks, Patrick Gardiner, Uni Blues, Jon De Pelligrin, Josh Huxtable Werribee.
The team will be coached this year by Owen Lalor. The coaching team will be as follows:
OWEN LALOR  – Senior Coach
LUKE WINTLE – Assistant Coach
ANDREW HAYES – Assistant Coach
MICK LOVEJOY – Assistant Coach
GERARD JACKSON – Assistant Coach
Training commences on Wednesday June 27th at Sportscover Arena (Elsternwick Park) at 6:00pm for a 6:15pm start in the lead up to the game.  The training schedule for this campaign is listed below. All sessions will require your normal club training equipment in terms of boots, jumper, shorts and socks. We also ask that you bring along and wear your club jumper for all sessions. At each training session a trainer and a physio will be available and you are required to attend even if you are injured, so that injuries may be monitored accordingly.   If you cannot attend training, please contact the Team Manager Jeffrey Jankie, on 0418 360 672 or [email protected] the coach Owen Lalor on 0438 879 282 or [email protected].
It is essential that players attend every allocated training session as there is not long to prepare for the game.  This shortened approach has proved successful in the representative campaigns of previous years, although complete commitment through the program is required to ensure optimal results. ALL players are required to respond to via email ( [email protected]) to indicate their availability for the campaign.

• Wed July 4th – full training [Sportscover Arena]
• Tuesday July 10th – full training [Sportscover Arena]
• Thursday July 12th – full training [Sportscover Arena]
Match Day – Sunday July 15th at 1:00pm, Sportscover Arena
