This weekend’s fixture change for Old Xaverians home game against Old Scotch sees the game moved away from Toorak Park. Xavierians will play host at Xavier College on Barkers Road in Kew as part of an initiative with the school.
Of course much of the Old Scotch team should be used to this venue as both of the team’s school sides clash on this ground every year in the APS.
For details about parking and facilities on the day we thank Old Xavs secretary Tony Hulett for providing the details below for those wishing to attend.
Our Senior and Reserves games against Old Scotch this Saturday 30 June will be played on the Roche Oval at Xavier College at the usual starting times of 11:40am and 2:00pm respectively. We are able to play at Xavier because of the support we receive from the School. We hope that a Seniors/Reserves game at the School will become an annual event.
Parking
Although some parking within the School will be available, we have been asked to use the VicRoads carpark adjacent to the School to reduce traffic within the School and as there will be a wedding in the Chapel that afternoon. The entrance to the carpark is on Barkers Road down from the School’s Main Entrance on the Denmark Street side. There is access to the School from the Carpark. It will be open until 7:00pm.
Catering
The Football Support Group from the School will be running a barbecue during the day.
Afternoon Tea
Afternoon Tea will be served in the Trescowthick Room in the Stephenson Centre at half-time.
After Match Function
Drinks will be served in the Trescowthick Room after the game.
