This weekend’s VAFA Match of the round at Sportscover Arena features an improving St Bedes / Mentone Tigers against St Bernards who are just one game out of the four.
The Tigers found their groove last week against Scotch at home and looked every bit the side that made it to the Grand Final last year.
After some stressful times at the Brindisi Street this year, St Bedes / Mentone Tigers find themselves just one win away from safety and another season in the top section next year.
St Bernards on the other hand just keep winning the games required and at times have challenged the top sides in Premier.
Last week was another of those wins that keeps a season bubbling along nicely, so nicely that the Snowdogs find themselves just a game outside the four.
The incentive for both sides to win is huge, Sunday at Sportscover is the last regular season match at the venue before finals, and on the big stage these two sides will be keen to impress.
It should be an intriguing match between two teams needing the win for different reasons, so get down to Sportscover Arena this Sunday for the 1.20pm start, entry is free.
