The VAFA is pleased to announce that KooGa will supply all on-field apparel for the next three years.
Kooga are an Australian company and currently supply high quality performance apparel to a host of international and national teams, including the Australian Wallabies, Richmond Tigers, and Melbourne Storm.
KooGa will bring the same high level of garment quality, efficient systems, and courteous service seen at the professional level to the VAFA and member clubs.
From 2013, our Big V representative sides will be kitted out in AFL quality Evapostretch jumpers, elite shorts and socks.
We trust it will give our players a competitive advantage, as well as looking and feeling great.
Tyron Brant, Managing Director of KooGa, said ‘With origins back to the 1890s, the VAFA was part of the growth of Australian Rules football and it is an honour to be the exclusive supplier to an organisation with such a proud history.
“The Big V jumper is icon in Australian sport and we are honoured to producing these for the VAFA in the years to come” he said.
“We are thrilled to partner with the largest senior community competition in Australia” he said.
“KooGa are excited that the relationship will have direct impact on improving grass roots football throughout the VAFA community.” Mr Brant said.
VAFA CEO Michael Sholly applauded the partnership, “The VAFA is the biggest football competition in the land and we are delighted to have the international brand KooGa partner our competition” he said.
“As a partner of the Australian Wallabies, Western Bulldogs, Melbourne Rebels, to name a few, KooGa will not only bring superior quality apparel to our players but valuable links to external commercial opportunities.” said Mr Sholly.
The lengthy tender process began in June and due diligence was undertaken to find the best team wear supplier for the VAFA.
There were many excellent proposals submitted for consideration, however, KooGa ticked all the boxes.
KooGa go to great lengths to ensure their jumpers are strong in all areas of manufacture and wear.
We believe our clubs will benefit in all areas from this new arrangement, in terms of garment quality, performance, durability, and price.
KooGa sets the benchmark in Australian made team wear and we look forward to working with the team at KooGa and trust our clubs will too.
Blair O’Hara, VAFA General Manager of Commercial Operations, said “KooGa bring so much more to the table than great apparel, they understand our ambitions to deliver real value and benefits to our community and we will work together to do just that.”
