2026 William Buck Premier Men’s Fixture released
The 2026 William Buck Premier Men’s fixture has been unveiled, with Old Brighton to unfurl its first senior men’s flag in the opening round against St Bernard’s on Saturday April
The AJAX Football Club 2012 Best & Fairest dinner saw Warren Steinberg win his third consecutive senior Best & Fairest award by one vote from Eugene Routman with Rubin Winograd finishing third.
A large crowd packed the Armadale Bowls club for a great night to end season 2012.
Routman led the count into the final round but after delaying an overseas trip all season he finally went on the trip and missed the round 18 clash which allowed Steinberg to pinch the award by a vote.
Routman who polled more votes than Steinberg from the umpires in the Morre Medal count was unlucky but was happy for Steinberg to claim his third win in a row.
Retiring senior coach Bernie Sheehy thanked the club for his 4 years and said he would not be lost to AJAX as he would still keep an interest in the club.
Bernie also presented David Fayman with the VAFA B Grade Goalkicking Award, his third medallion in 3 years.
Sheehy was feted the previous week at the VAFA Presentation Dinner where he was presented with an AFL Victoria Recognition of Service Award by VAFA President Bruno Conti.
The AJAX Football Club also inducted four new Life Members, Gary Blusztein, Norm Eizenberg, Andrew Shenker & Julien Wiener.
It was also announced that the AJAX Best Clubman Award would be named the Mark Feldy Award in his honour.
