Whitefriars Old Collegians Football Club is excited to announce that Gerard Kennedy has been appointed as Senior Coach for 2013.
Gerard is a past player who joined the club in 2000 and represented Whitefriars in 131 games (118 in Seniors) over 10 seasons.
The Coaching Selection Panel were impressed with Gerard’s outstanding knowledge, professionalism and commitment to excellence which we believe will improve our playing group even further.
We welcome Gerard back to the club with open arms and thank Theo Vlahos for two outstanding years as Senior Coach.
After the disappointment of not being able to field an Under 19 team in 2012 we are very well placed to return to Under 19 ranks under the guidance of Jeremy Freeman who has been appointed as coach for 2013.
Jeremy is a teacher at Whitefriars College and joined the club as the 3rds coach in 2012.
Everyone enjoyed his enthusiasm, work ethic, love of the game and ability to get the best out of players and he is already well on the way to putting a squad together to ensure the young Friars are a force again.
It is going to be another exciting year at the Friars and any new players are most welcome.
Any potential players should contact either of the coaches to find out more about their plans for 2013 by clicking here.
