
From formation to A-Grade: Old Geelong Women’s makes history
Old Geelong Football Club opened its 2025 season in historic fashion, with its women’s side marking their first year in the William Buck Premier competition with two wins straight out
The AJAX Football Club is excited to announce the appointment of Leigh McQuillen as Senior Coach for season 2013.
Leigh was the Senior Assistant Coach at Old Trinity responsible for Game Plan coordination, midfield coaching, strategic opposition video analysis, one on one player development and senior team selection.
McQuillen is also involved at Eastern Ranges in the TAC Cup as a development coach for the U16 and U18 teams where his focus has been as forward line coach.
McQuillen was also a senior coach for three years in the Alberton Football League winning a Premiership in 2007, while in his playing days he represented Frankston in the VFL, with time also spent at Beaufort and Sebastopol whom he represented with distinction.
Leigh is a physical education teacher and outdoor education coordinator at Lynbrook Primary School and is married with a two year old daughter.
We wish Leigh all the best for the coming season and look forward to him continuing to build AJAX into a stronger club within the VAFA.
