The Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA) is seeking expressions of interest from a highly motivated and suitably qualified person to join our team of dedicated umpire coaches.
This is an exciting opportunity to be involved with the best community competition in Melbourne that has a strong focus on the development of all its umpires.
To be successful in your application you will need to satisfy the selection criteria, be prepared to undertake all the duties outlined in the Position Description and have:
• A good understanding of the AFL Boundary Umpire Laws of the Game;
• A good understanding of the AFL Umpiring Development Programs;
• Prepared to enhance your own Education and personal development; encompassing
• A High level of communication and presentation skills;
• A strong desire to be a successful coach;
• A current Working with Children Certificate or prepared to obtain one; and
• A current Victorian Driver’s License.
The successful applicant will work closely with the Senior Umpires Coach and the General manager Umpire Operations to ensure efficient and effective operations of our Boundary Umpires.
This exciting role will be to drive further growth and development of the VAFA boundary umpiring group.
Applicants must be prepared to attend all training sessions and weekend fixture matches including the finals series during the VAFA season.
The successful applicant will be suitably remunerated with an honorarium commensurate with the experience and attributes they bring to the position.
