In line with previous correspondence including the distribution of the AFL Victoria Community Football Board “Terms of Reference” (TofR) some time ago, AFL Victoria is pleased to announce the nine people who will be the inaugural Board members.
The Board will be comprised as follows:
– Independent members: 3 nominated by AFL Victoria – Danny Dale (Chair), Diana Taylor & Chris Johnson
– Country members: 3 nominated by the VCFL board – Nicholas Rolfe, Brant Dunshea & Tony Mitchell
– Metropolitan members: 3 selected from nominations from the metropolitan Leagues – Bruno Conti, Geoff Dempster & Roger Teale
As per the TofR, this group has been formed to provide guidance, advice and support to the senior management of AFL Victoria in relation to the continued development of community football within Victoria.
The Board will refer to the General Manager of AFL Victoria and will be a subcommittee of the current AFL Victoria Ltd Board.
The proposed first meeting of the AFL Victoria Community Football Board will be in the first week of February 2013.
