By VAFA · May 4, 2013
ROUND 4 WRAP – DIVISION 1-4

Division 1 saw Ormond upset Old Geelong by 52 points. A standout 10 goals to Rob Chisholm for the Monders has them and OG’s both 2-2. After going winless in 2012, Hampton Rovers are undefeated in 2013. Today they beat up on Williamstown CYMS, winning by 110 points. Five goal hauls to Stuart Burrgraaff (surely the best name in the comp?) and Samuel Clements icing the win. MHSOB leveled their season at 2-2 with a 13 point win over Bulleen Templestowe. Prahran Assumption are outright second after their 103 point demolition of Glen Eira. John Robbins and Peter Christoforo collecting five goals each for the Two Blues and a magnificent eight-goal performance in a losing side from Kivanc Cevik for the Saints who remain the only winless side in the Division. Whitefriars (Jean Daou 5 goals) 62 point win over Old Mentonians means there are six teams at 2-2 after four rounds.
Old Eltham Collegians are undefeated in Division 2, but only just, after they held on to win by four points against St John’s. Sab Ciavola claiming another lazy five goals. In another close game, South Melbourne Districts leveled their season with a five point win over the winless Emmaus St Leo’s. This week St Mary’s Salesian couldn’t quite do it in another game decided by under a goal. Jackson Strangward’s five goals wasn’t enough as Monash Gryphons secured their first win of the year by four points at Ferndale Park. Ivanhoe had some small compensation in their grand final rematch against Yarra Valley, defeating the Bushrangers by 44 points. Ash Close back in form with seven goals. Therry Penola (Jarrod Bannister 5 goals) moved to second on the table with a 22 point win over Old Paradians.
Division 3 saw Kew (Tim Allman 7 goals) make an assertive step defeating previously undefeated Aquinas by 80 points. The top six sides all have 3 wins and 1 loss after Round 4. St Francis Xavier are the sole team at 2-2 after they beat Albert Park by 88 points, Dwayne Scott snared six goals for the X-men. Power House are on the board in 2013 after defeating South Mornington by 51 points. Swiburne University (Ben Higgins 6 goals) are continuing the prosper at this level. They beat Old Westbourne by 89 points, now the only winless side in Division 3. Richmond Central had the closest win of th round defeating La Trobe Uni by a solitary point. Jack McMeel’s six goals wasn’t enough for the students who sit 1-3. Elsternwick suffered their first loss of the year falling 20 points short of UHS-VU. Both sides are now 3-1.
The battle between the big brother Box Hill  North and little brother Dragons highlighted Division 4. The new boys Dragons won by 43 points with Tommy Ho and Simon Vucko both kicking five goals each. Chadstone went close but couldn’t repeat their 2012 heroics at Mt Lilydale. Mt Lilydale prevailed by 10 points to level their season at 2-2. West Brunswick won at Manningham Cobras by 40 points. Hawthorn moved to third on the table with a big win over Northern Blues. Justin Rossoukas kicked a lazy nine goals in the 108 point Hawk win.
