
From formation to A-Grade: Old Geelong Women’s makes history
Old Geelong Football Club opened its 2025 season in historic fashion, with its women’s side marking their first year in the William Buck Premier competition with two wins straight out
The Hawthorn Amateur Football Club XVIII team the Spartans had their annual fundraiser function last Saturday.
It was held at the San Remo Ballroom in Carlton and 200 people attended the evening including players, supporters and sponsors.
Since the club commenced these fundraisers in 2011, one of the priorities has been raise money for various charities.
The charity selected by the club this year was Breast Cancer Research and the they managed to raise $1600.
The Spartans are just one of many VAFA clubs who are involved in the the community and supporting a great and important cause.
