From formation to A-Grade: Old Geelong Women’s makes history
Old Geelong Football Club opened its 2025 season in historic fashion, with its women’s side marking their first year in the William Buck Premier competition with two wins straight out
This week VAFA TV took a break from club land as we boarded a plane to Adelaide with the VAFA U23 representative team. There were seven new players donning the Big V for the first time and for almost all of the 22 it was the first time they had had to to catch a flight on the morning of a game.
The 6am start, flight to Adelaide and the prospect of playing arch rival South Australia was not enough to stop the Vics winning by 15 points. You are able to watch a full match replay of the win here.
As well as documenting the trip to Adelaide – minus the celebrations later that night – VAFA TV also welcomes back the segment This week in the VAFA.
You can still vote on your favourite Mark and Goal of the week at vafatv.com.
