Just one game separates third and sixth after Round 11 of Premier Men’s action. Ladder leaders Old Brighton saw off a stiff challenge to their 14-game winning streak at Brighton
Teams in the U19s and U18s are playing for more than just a finals berth, with a decision recently announced that the highest placed teams will host their first final at their home ground.
The VAFA Board has decided that for Under 19 Section 2, Section 3, North and South and Under 18 competitions, that the teams that finish first and third will earn the right to host a final for the first week of the finals in 2013.
This will be only for the first week of the finals and in the second and third weeks, a neutral venue will be used.
Clubs who may finish either first or third in these sections should ensure that their venue is available for the first weekend of the finals on August 31st and September 1st.
This decision will help with the rostering of grounds in the first week of finals but will also provide extra incentive to teams that are still a chance of securing a home final.
