
From formation to A-Grade: Old Geelong Women’s makes history
Old Geelong Football Club opened its 2025 season in historic fashion, with its women’s side marking their first year in the William Buck Premier competition with two wins straight out
The VAFA is proud to announce that this year’s Woodrow Medal and VAFA Awards night will be held at Crown’s River Room on Wednesday 18th September. As part of the build up of Premier Grand Final week, the VAFA will for the first time conduct a full live count of all 18 rounds of the Woodrow Medal at this premium venue.
The vote counts for the Moore Medal (Premier B), the Zachariah Medal (Premier C), the Pepper Medal (Division 1), the Fullerton Medal (Division 2), the Hutchinson Medal (Division 3), the Meehan Medal (Division 4) and all the junior medals will be conducted live on 96.5 Inner FM this Tuesday and Wednesday nights from 8pm to 10pm.
On Tuesday on 96.5 Inner FM night the vote counts for Division 2, 3 and 4 will be held with the winners of the U19 North, South and U18 competitions to be announced.
On Wednesday night tune in from 8pm for the vote counts of Division 1, Premier B and Premier C, plus the announcement of the U19 Section 3, Section 2 and Premier sections.
All section winners will be presented at the Woodrow Medal and VAFA Awards night on 18th of September.
The night will be be hosted by Old Ivanhoe forward and Channel 10 reporter Nick Butler and the Mark and Goal of the year will also be presented.
