The VAFA has a proud history in developing umpires that progress to the highest level and as the nation gets ready to watch the biggest game of the year, it’s great to know the VAFA will have a presence on the field.
Congratulations to former VAFA Umpires Simon Meredith (field) and Michael Saunders (boundary) on being appointed to the 2013 AFL Grand Final.
It will be Simon’s second AFL Grand Final after officiating in 2012 and it will be Michael’s first AFL Grand Final.
