GO THE TAN 2014

GO THE TAN 2014

GO THE TAN  (7/8 February) is an event for ONE IN A MILLION – Australia’s rare disease alliance. For the first time in 2014, The Friedreich Ataxia Research Association (FARA) will join forces with fellow rare disease groups the Captain Courageous Foundation and the Unicorn Foundation as ONE IN A MILLION.
All profits from GO THE TAN support ONE IN A MILLION in its mission to strive shoulder to shoulder to find cures for these rare diseases.
EVENT TIMES & LOCATION
Enter online at www.gothetan.com.au or at the Pillars of Wisdom anytime over the two days. Simply pick up your race kit, attach your timing device, and start when you’re ready. You will receive your official 2014 Tan time and certificate of your achievement.
GO THE TAN VAFA Cup
Enter your VAFA club to participate at $20 per runner in two categories – Seniors and Under 19s.  VAFA teams will start at 9.00am Saturday 8th February 2014. All participants receive a t-shirt, cap, bottle of water and gift bag. 
Awards will be given for:

  • Fastest club 
  • Fastest team – the top 10 times from each team will be averaged
  • Most team participants
  • Fastest runner from each team

Friday 7 February 2014 – 12pm – 6pm

  • 12pm Official launch
  • 12.15pm Elite race ‘Beat Buster’
  • 12.30pm Corp. challenge opens
  • 12.45pm Open to public
  • 6pm End Day 1

Saturday 8 February 2014 – 8am – 6pm

  • 8am Start Day 2
  • 9am VAFA Tan Cup
  • 9 – 10am Sports teams welcome
  • 10am – 6pm Families welcome
  • 6pm End Day 2
