The issue with completing fixtures has been ground availability and the VAFA and the affected clubs are trying to work with local councils to free up more venues for VAFA matches to take place. Councils across multiple municipalities have closed a number of grounds after the cricket season to perform works on and this has affected our club’s ability to host matches they normally would have.
