WHAT YOUR CLUB SAID THIS WEEK

Old Trinity website on their 10 point win over Old Scotch
The T’s maintained their unbeaten run at home in season 2014, with a come from behind win against archenemy Old Scotch on Saturday. The T’s looked dead and buried in the third term as Old Scotch kicked clear, but a late Trinity revival set up a grand stand finish. Fortunately for the T’s they were able to finish the game with more run and drive than their opponents, kicking three valuable last quarter goals to seal a vital ten point win. [Read more]
De La Salle website after their 8 point defeat to Collegians
In the context of the season this was a crucial game for both clubs and unfortunately we are left to rue the one that got away. We had plenty of opportunities to win this game but when the siren sounded the opposition were in front and all credit to them. [Read more]
Old Brighton website after their 56 point win over St Bedes/Mentone Tigers
Old Brighton Grammarians made light of its poor start to the season by thrashing St Bedes-Mentone Tigers by 56 points at Brindisi Street. Newcomers Charlie King and Raury Bolger both prominent early, the Tonners finally were able to compete at centre bounces where their recent misery has begun. [Read more]
AJAX website after their 101 defeat to Fitzroy
AJAX Seniors were beaten comprehensively by Fitzroy by 101 points in their worst defeat in over 2 years. The Jackas were never in the hunt. [Read more]
Fitzroy website after their 101 point win over AJAX
Fitzroy has won for the third week in a row to defeat fellow final aspirants Ajax by a massive 101 points, placing them, for the second time in the season, inside the final four by half a game and a small amount of percentage. [Read more]
St Kevin’s Website after their 79 point defeat to Old Carey 
Old Carey was dominant from start to finish in its round seven encounter with SKOB on Saturday racing away with a 79 point win.  [Read more]
University Blues website after their 106 point win over Caulfield Grammarians
The round started for the Club on Friday night at Elsternwick as the Under 19 Colts recorded their first ever win against UHS-VU. A strong contingent of Blues were in attendance and well done to Jason Evans and the boys. The first of many for the season. The University Blues seniors then rolled into Round 7 and achieved a comprehensive 106 point win against Caulfield Grammarians. [Read more]    
Hampton Rovers website after their 2 point win over Oakleigh
Hampton Rovers recorded a hard-fought victory over Oakleigh at WA Scammell Reserve on Saturday, defeating the second-placed side by two points. The two clubs have shared a big rivalry in recent history and it was evident today with players going in hard and giving it their all. [Read more]
Bulleen Templestowe website on their 16 point loss to Whitefriars
This one will be a tough one to swallow and quite possibly “another one that got away” game as the Bullants now sit in deep relegation zone and two games behind Whitefrairs to get themselves out of it. [Read More]
St Mary’s Salesian website after their 36 point win over Ivanhoe
At Ivanhoe Park, Ivanhoe, St. Marys Salesian overcame a slow start to gradually wear down a determined Ivanhoe and win by six goals. SMS Reserves played four quarters of good quality team football and led all day to inflict defeat on the previously unbeaten Magpies by two goals. At Ferndale Park, Glen Iris, the Saints Under 22’s continued on their winning way with a 104 point victory over Parkdale Vultures. AJAX Under 19’s broke away in the second term to beat a hard-working St. Marys Salesian by 38 points. [Read more]
