Congratulations to Old Carey’s Andrew Sloan on being this week’s Club Warehouse Rising Star.
Andrew entered this year in flying form, having come off a beneficial full pre-season with Box Hill Hawks, just missing their final cut.
It is now Andrew’s second season at Old Carey having graduated from Carey Grammar in 2012. Andrew is very popular amongst the boys for his on field courage and his fearless attack at the ball against much older opponents.
Other attributes that stand Andrew taller then many, is his ability to remain composed under pressure and use his strong body to his advantage. Andrew has held down full back this year, beating far more experienced opponents. Andrew is currently studying Accounting full time at RMIT.
