Congratulations to Timothy Marshall who has been nominated as this week’s Club Warehouse Rising Star.
Timothy joined his brother at Old Melburnians this year for his first year of football since leaving Melbourne Grammar. Timothy’s promotion to the senior team is highlighted by the fact he arrived half way through pre-season after returning from a gap year travelling.
After missing a complete season, Timothy set him self the goal of returning to peak fitness and utilising his pace to impress the coaching staff. During the practice matches earlier in the year, it was not only his blistering pace that stood out, but, his ability to read the play and exceptional skills which caught the eye of senior coaches.
Since his first senior game, he has been a coaches dream; reliable, competitive, does not fear anyone, as defensive as he is attacking, and eager to learn. Timothy also has the attributes to excite the supporters, tucking the ball under his arm and when he’s off like the Road Runner, no-one can catch him.
Timothy is rarely seen around the club without his cheeky smile and cheeky attitude.
