The VAFA Board have confirmed that the 2015 VAFA Season will commence on Saturday 11th April.
With Easter falling early this year, round 1 will fall on the weekend after the Easter break meaning players might be able to enjoy one last weekend off before the season gets underway.
The Board also confirmed that all sections will commence their campaigns on the same day making for a massive opening day of action and avoiding the situation that saw Premier Section commence their year a week after the rest of the competition.
Despite the Cricket World Cup forcing the AFL to push back their season, the VAFA Board decided to start the season on 11th April, therefore allowing the Premier Grand Finals to be on the weekend of 19th/20th September.
